: its my disco ball necklace...

And its the easiest thing to make, if not a bit tedious.

Just make 3 strands of these glass Czech squarish beads and use a crimp bead at each end to loop and secure the strands. Then use black grosgrain ribbon to finish it off.

That's it! I love how it looks, dresses up a little black dress and even looks cute with a white tee and good jeans.

Have a great day! :)

: first a public service announcement for all Target lovers

Clearance galore at Target! Holy cow. We made out really well and the kids have every Ni hau Kai lan doll there is now. (did I spell that correctly? I don't speak Chinese) Anyway. They were down to $1.49 and we couldn't pass them up. If you're a clearance sale loving Target shopper, now is the time to go, yesterday they were marking stuff down all over the place.

Go forth and shop.

And look, I scrapped!

It is always a good day when scrapbooking enters the picture. I don't get to scrap as often as I'd like to, but it just makes the times I do that much more special. I just joined Kenner Road kits because I love getting a kit each month and its been a while since I've gotten one. I used to get Label Tulip kits but since Cathy sold it, well the new style wasn't really for me and it sort of went down hill... anyway I've always thought Kenner Road looked very much 'me.'
And that's all I know for now, have a great day!

: the tattered butterfly and the sea

I am tired and without words today... my children make me brain dead but this made me happy to get completed:

it was like this for quite a long time-

But it got finished today!

And that's all I know. Oh- and I named this piece "the tattered butterfly and the sea" because the turquoise beads are actually cultured pearls, and with the shabby silk ribbons and antiqued metal... just seemed to fit.

: arched sea pearly creation

Project 52 has been great for getting all my unfinished stuff finally done. This shadow box frame has been sitting half done for over a year. But now I've got a new piece for my coastal-shell-seashore-cottage style arts and crafts room:

The arch is a string of ivory color tiny buttons adhered with hot glue. You know how if you push a lot of glue out at once it comes out all swirly - I did that all around the arch and then sprinkled with the blue glitter and dabbed alcohol ink all over. That was fun.

The frame is textured with a mixture of sea blue paint and pumice gel stuff that looks like sand, spread over polka dotted patterned paper. Again, that was fun. :)

Have a super weekend!
